Free pick up at Varial in Ventura, CA // M-F 9AM-5PM is available on all purchases. A Ventura tax rate of 7.75% will be applied on all purchases for Pick Up.

*We can ship to KOA, ITO, OGG, HNL, LIH.  You will be required to present your ID to upon pickup at the airport.  This option can take up to 2 weeks to ship, depending on timing with our regularly-scheduled deliveries to LAX.

Varial only ships online surfboard orders to locations inside the continental USA and HI. 

Damages incurred during shipping should be documented and sent to Varial in order to submit a claim. If the box looks severely damaged please do not open the box. Take photos and submit to Varial.  Please keep all packaging if the item is damaged, this will help the claim.

Refund Policy

Ride it and don't like it?

Surfboards without major damage may be returned within 30 days for 50% store credit. Shipping values are excluded.

Returns
Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have passed since your purchase, it is ineligible for a refund or exchange.
To be eligible for a full priced return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must be packaged very well to ensure that there is no damage during shipping. Damages incurred during a return may be deducted from the full amount.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Please do not send your surfboard to the shaper. Send all returns to Varial HQ in Ventura, California. Details below.

When refunds will not be granted (if applicable):

  • All surfboards are handmade and may have cosmetic blemishes. Items may vary slightly from photos. Varial will not issue refunds based on cosmetic blemishes.
  • Surfboards can dent, crack, and occasionally break or experience other type of damage. No surfboard is indestructible.  Varial will not issue refunds based upon denting, cracking, breaking, or other damage.
  • Varial will not issue refunds for any item not in its original condition, items that are damaged, or items that are missing parts.   
  • Varial will not issue refunds for any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery.
  • Gift cards cannot be returned.

Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.
For used surfboards, only a store credit for up to 50% of the purchased surfboard price will be issued.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at info@varialsurf.com.

Sale items (if applicable)
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.

Exchanges (if applicable)
Unfortunately we do not exchange surfboards.
For all other items we will exchange it for the same item if the product is defective, or does not fit.

Gifts (for applicable items)
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he will find out about your return.

Return Shipping                                                                                    Customers are responsible for return shipping costs, however we can charge you and provide you with a shipping label with our shipping rates.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
